Family and settlement applications often rely on documents that must be in date, and an expired passport or permission can cause delays. Seeing every important date in one place, with an early warning, gives you time to check the current guidance and act.
It compares each date you enter with today's date and shows the days remaining. A document within 180 days of expiry is flagged expiring soon so you can plan ahead. It's a plain date calculation — it does not tell you whether or when you can renew.
That depends on your route and current permission, which is set out on GOV.UK. This tool only shows your dates; for advice about your situation, speak to an adviser registered with the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) or an SRA-regulated solicitor.
The VisaKnot app stores your passport, visa and BRP dates and reminds you 180, 90, 30, 15, 7 and 1 days before each one — alongside your whole evidence bundle.
