What counts as relationship evidence for a UK spouse visa?

Relationship evidence is a category in a family or spouse visa bundle. Examples published on GOV.UK include proof of living together, communication over time, and shared responsibilities such as joint finances. How should I organise proof of living together?

Correspondence is easier to review when it is spread across time rather than bunched together.

• Collect items addressed to each partner at the shared address from different official sources.
• Space them across the period you are covering rather than all from one month.
• Keep the full document showing the name, address and date.

How do I present communication evidence without it becoming huge?

Message and call history can run to many pages, so selection and order help the reader.

• Choose a representative sample across the whole period rather than printing everything.
• Show dates clearly and keep conversations in order.
• Summarise on an index page what each set of communication contains, without altering the originals.

What shared-responsibility documents can I include?

• Joint tenancy or mortgage documents.
• Joint bank accounts or bills in both names.
• Trips taken together, such as tickets or itineraries.
• Photographs together over time, labelled with dates and context.
